  7. The trashcan.bbs can be used to prevent new callers from logging on with 
  8. stupid names, provided that *you* can think of them before *they* do.
  9.  
  10. You don't need to use it - just delete it if it is not required.
  11.  
  12. First and last names are compared separately against the trashcan, and
  13. the caller is disconnected immediately if a match is found.

  20. Entries in the trashcan consist of single words, one per line, WITHOUT 
  21. CAPITALS.

  23. They can optionally include the ? symbol as a single character wildcard. 
  24. For instance :

  32. would prevent anybody logging on under names like Just Looking, Only Me,
  33. Nobody and J Bloggs.

  35. Be careful when using wildcards that they do not match valid names.  For
  36. instance, s?d would unintentionally prevent anybody named Sid from 
  37. calling.

  44. You cannot use the trashcan to prevent people from logging on with 
  45. combinations of otherwise acceptable names, for instance

  49. could only be excluded by the trashcan if you include either dick or 
  50. turpin in the list.  But that would exclude anybody with the name Dick,
  51. or anybody with the surname Turpin.

  53. Dick Turpin could however be excluded if you use Sysop Tools to create
  54. a user with that name, and set the BAN flag.
